Prototech

From the start of Week one, Term four, Rimu class started doing Prototech almost everyday. Prototech is a website where you take a basic facts test, you can choose what stage you are tested on. Here is a link to Prototech have a go for yourself! We also made Graphs and put our scores on it every week. This is helpful because math is EVERYWHERE! We practise so that we can be better at maths.

I was doing stage 5 Prototech. I mostly learnt how to turn numbers into 100 (Ex: 14+?=100). This is helpful when I need to figure out money for shopping. I haven't progressed very much but I hope to progress much more in the next few weeks. Here is my graph:

  1. How wonderful to see that you are looking at different ways to learn and reinforce your basic facts knowledge. Have you considered ways that you use basic facts in your everyday life? For instance; if you brought the principal an apple 5 times a week for 8 weeks and each apple had four pips - How many apple trees could the principal possibly grow?

I look forward to your next blog post.

  2. Hi Hannah, Prototech looks great. What a cool way to work on your basic facts and I love that you are graphing your results. What part of the testing makes it hard for you to progress? Is there anything we could do at home to help you with this? Love Mum.
