Summer Learning Journey #3 - Leaving a Positive Digital footprint.

This activity was all about what we can do to leave a positive digital footprint online.

I made this in Google Drawing.

  1. Hi Hannah,
Well done on doing another Summer Learning Journey post. I really like your style of presentation. I think you have summed up how we should behave online. I guess it does change a little as you become an adult, but it is important to remember these criteria as we interact online. Do you think you will continue following this as you enter high school and adulthood?
    Thanks for a great post,
    Mum!

  2. Hello Hannah,
I think you've done a great job writing all of the things that shouldn't be shared online. This is definitely beneficial for people who are beginners on devices which have communication with other people.

In fact, if I was a newbie to technology, I would absolutely check out posts like this and follow them because I am very cautious about things which can lead to trouble. Not sharing your birthday and address is something everyone should know, and sharing your last name gives out more of your identity, which could be very dangerous.

Maybe next time you could write this in a much more positive way and instead of saying not share, say only share. Also do as much as you can because on the 25th of Jan, the SLJ finishes.

    Happy Blogging

  3. Kia ora Hannah,

My name is Susie and I am a member of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team this year. Thank you for sharing this positive digital footprint on your blog. You have mentioned some helpful tips as to why we should not be sharing any personal information online. You are absolutely right that your birthday, address and your last name are all unnecessary bits of information that does not need to be shared with other online users!

I especially like the fact that you've talked about not using offensive and hurtful words online. It is important that we leave positive footprints everywhere so that we lead by example for those who might be new to the internet.

    Keep it up,
    Susie
